One other idiot question!
I took my car to a tyre/exhaust place because I thought my exhaust had a hole in it. It turned out a heat shield was out of place and they “put it back” for free (very nice of them). Sure enough the sound has gone away.
At the time was just pleased it wasn’t going to cost a fortune and I didn’t ask any questions. Now I’m interested to know if, based on my vague description, can anyone shed some light on what this “heat shield” is and what was actually wrong with it? I can’t find any info online :serious:
