ahaaaaaaa ! really ! i best go take another look ! if theyve missed another fuse out i wont be very happy !
Cheers CooperID !!

..........ok been out and looked...theres no wires going to the glass, and nothing going to the washer jets which still makes me beleive that its an option as mentioned else where on this forum..

still who knows maybe its a mis-build the first owner didnt pick up on....or its a daft way to have a visibility pack

Normally the heated mirrors come on with the Heated REAR screen try that switch and see if the mirrors clear on a cold day.

What's the feedback on the heated seats?
Mine feel as if they are hardly working in terms of heat output
My other half's Smart Roadster has heated seats and they give much more heat..
Can the level of heat be readjusted by a dealer?

Sounds like a fuse has gone.
My seats will burn your **** off unless I am driving my convertible in cold weather when they feel "just right"

you have a 2 car garage so you don't have to pay for heated everything. Of course I still had to buy a snowblower(vrrrrooooom!) to clear that 220feet of driveway. :) Clear the drive. Drive off in an always clean car.

I was just saying today to my dad (owns a toyota 4x4) its luxury at its best when u can get in ur car start it up slap the heated seats and manual heating and it gets warm in under 4 mins you cannot beat that. Takes 30 mins before it even starts to get warm in that big lump of a 4x4. :D

Does anyone know if you can add heated seats after the car has been built.
Is it the seat itself(whole unit) or is it a seperate element(heat pad)that is put under the exterior of seat whhen added as an option?

Funny you should say that about the heated seats - ever since I got my car I've though that the heated seats weren't working terribly well. I took it back to the dealer in September and (surprise, surprise) was told that they were working correctly.

Now that we've got some proper cold weather, I can test them properly, and I'm sure there's something wrong. When you switch them on they get warm(ish), then after a few mins, seem to reduce heat output so that, whilst you know they're still on, there's no chance of burning your backside. The seats in my BMW and former Golf were far better in this respect.

Would be interested in other people's opinions - need to be prepared before going back to the dealer as they'll probably try and fob me off with yet another excuse.

I've got the exact same problem. I got a new Cooper a couple of weeks ago. The heated seats on "high" only get kind of warm- and even that takes several minutes. There is never any need to turn them down to low.

Now I know this isn't right -- this car is a replacement for an 04 Cooper which was written off back in the summer; and in my original car the seats used to heat up much more quickly and after a few minutes they would be so hot that you had to switch them on to the low setting.

It's going in this week for the dealer to look at, but I am worried they will claim the seats are working correctly -- given that they do warm up a bit.

Maybe we need to find someone with fully-working heated seats and actually measure how hot they get (I could borrow a digital thermometer from work if anyone in the vicinity of North London is willing to give this a try).
