Hi all.

I have an 03 Cooper whose driver seat has decided it doesn't like the heat any more!

When I push the button for the heated seat both lights on the button flicker and then go straight out - no heat is delivered.

Passenger side works fine and the fuse doesn't blow if either switch is pressed.

I've popped the switch out and managed to plug the driver seat into the passenger switch but the same thing happened. When the passenger seat was plugged back into its own switch it works fine. I wasn't able to plug the passenger seat into the driver switch due to a lug on the cable block, but assume that this would have worked fine.

Upshot is, I'm pretty sure it's not the switch, so where do I look next?

Any and all help greatly appreciated (the mornings are getting cold!)

Cheers,

Doc.

I’m having the same problem. Fuse seems to be find. Will test the seat itself. Living in New Jersey, heated seats are heaven sent. I’ll try to keep this thread going with my findings.
