My name is Sebastian, I'm in my mid thirties, and I've bought a 2006 R53 MCS last fall. Before the Mini I had a 2013 Mustang GT with the 5.0 V8, so it's been quite a change. As far as the fun factor is concerned, I'd say the cars are on par
As I said my R53 is a 2006 with HID, leather, chrono package and the limited slip diff. It's got a good service history, with recent timing chain change etc. Only issue I have with it is an oily sump and a little bit of oil consumption, but that seems to be the norm with these. I'm planning to change the seal on the crank position sensor for good measure and see how that helps things.
Other plans are retrofitting the MFSW and cruise control as well as eventually bringing the car to JCW spec engine wise.
Hoping to get some help and inspiration on the forums for all the Mini related projects!
