Hello from the South West and one question...

So I bought a 2009 Mini Clubman Cooper S online without even looking at it in person. ! Who'd have thought it!

It was underpriced, but has 130,000 miles on it, FSH. I reckoned on it needing the chains done, but there is no ominous rattle...however there is a lot of oil on top of the engine, so it's off to a garage for a look over. My Question is this : what engine do I have? I've read, looked, researched, VIN'd and I still don't know! Help!!

Awesome thank you, didn't know much about them tbh, but I'm learning! It's of to DB Autos for a health check on Wednesday...seems the turbo oil feed or something might be leaking...but it sounds fine, no rattle, good idle...just burning oil on the turbo heat shield...If you know of a good Mini garage in the SW please let me know by PM
If the turbo oil feed line is leaking buy the braided oil line kit and get it replaced before the turbo gets damaged.

An oil line is a big job. there are ways around having to put it in the service support position to do that. which I did the first time I changed my upper and lower lines. Anymore l like the service support position.
It gives me a chance to see the whole deal under there.:geek:
