I have a 52 MCS with a 15% pulley.

I noticed very slight seepage from the expansion tank join and decided to change the tank just in case.

The car has never overheated, runs fine and had good even compressions when last tested. The oil stays nice and oil coloured.

However I noticed that the water was a bit brownish when I changed the expansion tank. I filled up with new red antifreeze/water but as soon as the engine was run again the water went brownish again.

I have to say I never noticed the colour of the water before as I never need to top it up and never took the lid off the expansion tank. You can see the level through it.

The question is - do I have a problem? Head Gasket? Or is it all ok?

Thanks in anticipation.
