Hi Guys.

I need some help / information on the following problem :
Thanks in advance for your help.

The Mini has just started dropping its revs at any declutch stage e.g when pulling up at junctions.
It also stalls and the revs drop from 1000 to zero.

Then all of a sudden the car starts 'gargling' and the car 'jolts' along.

This all happens at under 3,000 revs but not above !
When the car is floored its fine but in normal driving conditions its a bugger to drive !

Also the Orange Triangle has lit up (the same warning sign as when you take traction off)

Guys what do you think the problem can be ?

I have to wait over weekend until I speak to my mechanic but the car was due to be at Brands this weekend but now I cant make it = Gutted !

Any help would be great to see if i can fix the problem at home.

Thanks Guys

Sounds like you have either a faulty MAP sensor or an induction airleak.

Does it it take Wide Open Throtle ok with no hesitation??

When you first depress the clutch, what idle speed does it try to maintain?

When was the last time it was serviced???

Hi Noble
Thanks for your reply - Really appreciate your advice :)

Yep it accepts wide open throttle with no hesitation and when clutch is depresses the idle speed can drop to stalling mode or around 100 rpm approx.

Car was serviced two weeks ago.

Look forward to your reply.

Many Thanks
:)
