I think so as well.Rennie said:Might be a candidate for the lemon law. Three unsuccessful repairs for the same problem qualifies in my state (NJ), I believe.
You've been unlucky. My first 2001 Mini was a lemon and sadly I had to reject it. Needless to say though it didn't put me off the Mini and I've had two Cooper S's since and neither have had any major problems.LITTLEWALNUT said:i have talked to mini about the prob, but if it dose not get fix this time i might have to go that rout. i would want to replace it with a new mini because i love my car. hopefully a new one will not have this prob
Well the bottom line was that they could not fix the fault. In the UK we have a law called the 'Sales of Goods Act', which says "That the goods will be of satisfactory quality" and "that the goods will be fit for that purpose". I rejected the car under this law, I wrote a letter to Mini UK and to my dealer principle and handed the keys to them.LITTLEWALNUT said:was mini ok to deal with with your 01??![]()
It wasn't as straightforward as it sounds.LITTLEWALNUT said:wow only if it was that ez here in the us![]()
Do you have a lawyer who can send a letter on your behalf? I've never used the lemon law so I'm not sure using a lawyer is the way to go, although I can't imagine it hurting. I just think they will pay more attention to a letter in "legalize".LITTLEWALNUT said:I've sent a letter to both Mini and the dealership and called Mini Customer Service. No reply yet...![]()
