Hello fellow car enthusists,

I am a new member on this forum, however, I am not new to the Mini (1) scene. I love the Mini and I would love it even more if I can own a Cooper S - BRG with White top and 17 inch wheels when every since options :) even the navigation system :)

Anyways, enough about my little dream, I am wondering how many Canadians here have placed their deposit, where and how? Does it guarantee you an S? What does it guarantee you? I am planning to go and check out and deposit this week, so I am here to get some info.

As well, what's the story with 500 Mini Cooper S in Canada? Is that for real? How hard is it to get a S?
Because I remember getting the S2000 and they claimed that there are only 125 in Toronto, and they told me It will be a 3 month wait, however, I got the car in less than 2 weeks. I am assuming this is just a propaganda to get everyone anxious and excited fearing that they will not score with a S?

And here's a thread asking much the same Canadian question as you.

cheers buddy

:)
Thanks!

Thanks for the photo and information guys.

Regarding the photo, are those rims standard 16 inch or upgraded 17 inches?

I have always wondered how many types of rims there are as standard (for Cooper, and S) and what are the options?

That picture is a teaser! I wish I can crusie in one of those tomorrow on a Sunny Sunday in downtown Toronto!!!

Sorry to tease with a picture. That car is I believe a pre-production USA spec Cooper S. As it has the repeater lenses in the front and rear wheel arch extensions.

The wheels are Silver S-spoke 17" rims, and can be had as options over the standard 16" rims.

Once you get the hang of the search engine, you will find reams and reams of information on just about anything you wish to know about the MINI. What you can't find, just put up a post and someone will help you out.

cheers mate.

Have fun

Another teaser........Those tailpipes have been improved upon. Take a look at the galleries, which have now been split into different groups. The Cooper S gallery is fantastic.

Enjoy

Repeaters? Repeat after me: :) they are sidemarker lights, they don't flash or repeat they stay lit (when the parking or headlights are on) to illuminate the postition of the car when view from the side (such as pulling out from a side street).

(It's triva like this that is as valuable as money in the bank :) )
