when the ecu seeing a some fault and stores a live code it will by default switch on radiator fan, will even even do it when no eml on and only when scan it throws a fan, need to know what is stored and start the process

what i do to find these faults is use autocom cdp plus diagnostics tool this allows me to switch the cooling fan on and off via the software so can run the circuit when i want to run it so can probe for voltages,, you can also just pull the temp sensor plug off the fan should fire up when you do this with ignition on, link below for software
