Can anyone please advise the correct procedure to bleed the clutch on a R53 MCS - I do not have a pressure bleeder and want to use a 'one man bleeding' kit. Is it necessary to compress the slave cylinder to which the bleeding pipe is attached? :puzzled:Thanks

hi ive just spent the most time ever to bleed a clutch slave on a 54 bmw mini diesel,if anyone out there is suffering as i was ,the answer is to use the workshop tool from bmw that compresess the slave before you bolt it up and allows all the air to escape i bought the tool for about 65 pounds and did the job in 5 minutes, i own a garage and have been in the trade for 30 years and sometimes i have to concede that only the correct tools will do the job hope this helps
