If I get a US Spec Cooper S Convertible with:
Sport package
Cold weather package
LSD

Will there be a blank switch spot available in the center console switch area? I would like to roll my own stealth remote garage door opener instead of paying for the $200 option.

Yes, you will have a blank spot where the rear fogs would be, Howvever, there won't actually be a switch there, just a filled in hole.
