Currently have this baby . As you can tell I bought a blank canvas, literaly. I'm wanting the Aero kit and 17sor 18" wheels.
I'd love the R90's. Basically I wanted to start this thread so that people could give me ideas on tasteful mods- I don't want nothing ott.
I'm even selling my precious watch to fund this.

Anyhow, photoshops, suggestions etc, welcome!!

You have to get JCW wheels;) For a R56 I would suggest R109's
Get Phil to sort you out some Custom MINI Pirate graphics.

That would just about do it:D:D

Now Supa dupa I like the look of that! Exactly that!
I like the look of the R109's but they seem to cost over £2k!!!
Can get hold of the R90's for a touch under £1300. Better but not cheap!! Most dealer are quoting £1400 for the Aero kit- not impressed!
How about an MCS grille? A mod that has great visual impact and kind to your bank balance...

Black JCW (or even aftermarket) alloys look ace on a Pepper White car and will be the perfect finish (in my opinion). Do take a look in the Classifieds section. Who knows, you stumble upon a set that ticks your box. Different alloys change so much to the looks of the car that you can leave the tupperware (i.e. 'Aero Kit') for later.

if you fit 17 or even 18 inch alloys, it will harden the ride of the car compared to the wheel/tyre combo you are currently driving. Bear that in mind. I do not know how stiff the standard suspension of a Dooper is though.

Is the suspension of the Dooper any lower than the S say?
I wouldn't want it to look like a 4x4 or something! Thanks for the comments so far and the pics bluebell! Stunning motor, is it a Dooper?
No Sonny its an S, but I was copying the front cover PWB format from the dealership MINI brochure, which is a dooper:D :Dsorry Sony! it's Blue babe!;):D:D Get them checks on Sony!:D:D

Sony good choice on watch, I have the limited edition one with the red dials and metal bracelet!

I reckon you should go for some R99's and black vipers, aero kit would look cool too, check out Adam Randals.

BlueBabe, are you sure you have enough checks on the interior there, it dazzled me!!

Regarding wheels, don't waste your money on JCW wheels. They are expensive and not light at all. I have the JCW R105's and I can't believe how heavy they are! The wheels weigh almost 11kg each.

I would get matt black 17" OZ Ultraleggerra's with 205/45 R17 Toyo T 1 R tyres or if you can afford it, the same wheels and tyres, but in an 18" size with 215/35 R 18 tyre size.

The 18" OZ Ultra's weigh 7.42kg's each.

Ha Ha Yes Troy its getting near fully checked out:D Actually I do have some more which aren't shown, Check seat belt shoulder pads and rear seat cushions in check;):D:D:D Also on exterior are check side vents;):D
I hate to say it but I'd like to stick with OEM!;) My first choice are defo the R90s ideally. I cannot make my mind up on the R108's? Do they suit the Mini?

Still a gorgeous looking car!! Individuality is vital I think!!

I think all of the JCW wheels suit the Minis but how good they look depends on the other mods. I think if you're not going to do the full aero kit then at least invest in some side skirts, makes all the difference!

R108's look fab on MINIs, but as a matter of taste, I would not combine them with a Pepper White car.

The point Paul raised is one to bear in mind. A heavier wheel/tyre combination compromises the handling. For explanation on this, Google Wheel Tech - Performance Benefits

First point is of course the FAQ at MINI2 - MINI Forum - FAQ & DIY: Wheels and Tyres.

They do, but im not sure how easy they'd be to clean!

How about daring to be different with stripes - orange or another bold colour for example :D

My thoughts are:

Black R99's
something custom from the good ship Pirate...
White side indicator lenses/chrome surround
Side skirts

as mentioned before though its a personal choice...

happy modding :D

Personally Sony, I love the way your car looks now. The rocket alloys are lightweight and seem to aid handling in my experience. Larger alloys, unless specifically lightweight will hamper performance.

If I was to mod it though, it would be black 17" alloys, JCW kit and a black wide stripe from front to back. There's a few JCW's with this setup and it looks great. I'd also tint the rear windows amd make any ornage indicators white\clear.
