It is very sad for me to write this, but my father Edward, infamously known as MaxaMini has passed away. We are surrounded by friends and family, but deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected loss of my father. He was an incredible man, a wonderful husband, and an unparalleled father. Lastly, he was a devoted Mini owner. You all were very important to him, and the last years of his life were filled with many great adventures with many of you. He was so proud to be amongst your ranks and he was truly blessed with many fond memories of his time with you all. He will be missed but forever remembered. God Bless you all. As we get more details I will post them here. Thank you all for your friendship and support.

W-T-F?!? Sorry I can't be more eloquent than that, but eloquence and shock don't really reside in the same neighborhoods. Man, this really ****es me off, this is just wrong.

He will most certainly be remembered as a great guy and a truly unique individual. My last communiqué from Ed was a private message last Friday with the subject "Max". In true MaxaMini form, all it said was "Ha Ha Made you look"...

Thanks to Ian, Jared, et al for your pictures and words from today's memorial. Not the same as being there, of course, but I can tell that this celebration of our friend Edweirdo was as it should have been. I'm glad there was laughter, Maxa wouldn't have tolerated something too sad, the guy was all about happiness...

Happy wedding day, Greg and Kate! It's been a helluva week to be sure, wild emotional swings for you folks. But it's the start of a new life together, so go forward and live a life that would make Edweirdo proud...

Devilduck's Adventure

Finally have a chance to post my pics from Monday. I really liked the idea of floating some ducks as a tribute to Ed on his birthday, but there was only one snag; I couldn't go to a river/lake/ocean or any other body of water on Monday evening because I has to be out on the ice, Monday nights are one of my hockey nights. But then I started thinking about it... Hey, isn't ice just frozen water? So while an ice rink might not be the typical place to take a rubber duck, it was the best body of water that I had available to me...

This is the Devilduck. Not just your average duck....

Into the bag he goes, no doubt thankful he has no sense of smell.

Out on the ice with duck. Actually, this rink has been having some issues with the heat lately, so the east end of the rink is a puddle for the first half of games. Closer to a real "body of water" than it should be...

Yes, it's me.

And there's the duck. I had to be careful, a couple players wanted to slap-shot him across the rink.

Back in the locker room after the game, with Devilduck intact.

And finally at the bar afterwards, Devilduck enjoys a Snapple pink lemonade and some curly fries...

Happy birthday, Ed.

Snow..!!! Say it 'aint so Bert..!
It was really warm here over the weekend. We went apple picking with my parents who were in town on Sunday and canoing on Monday and I got sunburnt..! I don't want to get the snow shoes out yet. Hope you're coping with it.
Does that really count? I've seen you in full "sun avoidance mode", you could get sunburnt on a cloudy day, Gav!

Oh yeah! Ed had a nice pair but they were awfully hard and hairy!!
That was a fun day. Ed and I tagged Theo's MINI really good around 5 a.m. and then went fishing for a few hours. That was when the neon glowing condom floated past as he and I were up to our belly buttons in the water casting for schoolie stripers in Bass River.:p
Neon glowing condoms in the river? Were you fishing for schoolie stripers or schoolage strippers?
