Hi,

I took my MINI to the dealer yesterday to get a leaking number plate replaced and BMW cleaned my white wheels, now they are absolutely spotless  I have found that over the months little black dots of tar have built up on them and although I spend alot of time cleaning them I cant seem to get it totally off. I asked BMW what they used and they said it was an industrial wheel cleaner that contains an acid in it, but it cant be bought from the shops. Does anyone have any ideas where I could find an acidic, powerful wheel cleaner that really works as good as that one because its made my wheels look new again :)

Cheers

Most of the wheel cleaners you buy in halfords are acidic.

Wonder wheels is a very good one and so is the turtle wax product (not sure of its name though)

Make sure you read the back of the pack carefully to make sure it is ok with painted wheels though.
