Hello, I have a cooper D 2008. My mechanic has to removed the cylinder block and in the process of removing the injectors he says he cannot remove 3 of them. Are there any special tools that would help removal or any tips ?
Thanks

there is a mobile service for removing them link below
https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/injector-removal-service/bn_7024776320
they can be a royal pain to remove when stuck you might need to except they will be destroyed to remove them,
its worth trying loads of diesel on them leave to soak over night,, then twist them while tapping with a hammer or air chisel on the out metal part to not damage them sometimes works,, also could try seafoam deep creep come sin a spray that works sometimes,, heat is best way i always try to remove them after engine been running for a while so its all hot and expanded helps a lot bit like glow plugs always do same way or they snap off a lot of the times on that engine,
think i have a good set of injectors and good head and good top cover with cams in it came off a clubman d 58-2008 could work a fair deal on it if need to see how you go, i also have a good block and bores and has new piston rings crankshaft is gone, think its got a brand new oil pump on it as well.

this head has had all valves out new stem seals and all valves lapped in with paste, its got 4 new glow pugs in it Bosch branded, do you need the rocker cover as well that holds the cams and any injectors as if yours are stuck in head, the head surface is ready to drop on block as well..

Got over heated then found Water in piston 4 so wouldn't start.
if you do put a head on it and dont have mine, little heads up always ask if it has got the glow plugs in or not, really you want them to remove the glow plugs before you buy it,, reason is they snap off for a past time on those engines especially when they are cold,, and are the worst type to try and remove when snapped off,, and if you have 1 glow plug not working it will prevent the car doing regen of dpf filter and cause some hassle a few thousand miles down the road,
tha said if i were you and iys been cooked better off finding complete motor with a warranty from a breaker, you can also ask for reg number of car it was removed from and do a mileage check on it,, ie find a 50k one complete with wiring harness on it, so much easier to fit like that

added point that same engine is used in ford volvo Citroen and Peugeot , will find the last 3 will be cheaper than finding one from a mini specialist , just swap out harness like that

he 1.6 L (1,560 cc) Diesel is part of the DV/DLD family and is, depending application, called the DV6 (PSA), W16 (MINI) or DLD-416 (Ford). 90 PS and 110 PS versions are available. Though both intercooled,

110 PS uses a Garrett GT15V variable geometry (VNT) turbocharger. The 110 PS version of this engine can be ordered in an unprecedented variety of car models, representing either side of the motoring spectrum, ranging from the MINI Cooper D to the Volvo S80 1.6D DRIVe. From 2011 PSA start to develop (1,598 cc) diesel with BMW/Mini.
