For some reason the intercooler boot on the passenger side of the engine bay is slipping, as you can see in the photo.

I recently changed the intercooler to a forge one.
When fitting it, I loosened the inner clamps and not the outers.
Its been fine for over a week but now the outer one has slipped.

I loosened the clamps and tried to correct it but even when the clamps were tightened they boot was still sliding around!

When the rain stops I'm going to go out and strip it down and clean all the surfaces, it looks greasy.

Anyone had the same problem?

As i've said on the local section, 'strange how its slipping on the orginal air duct and not the intercooler'.

Maybe upgraded snoots boots!

The rain eased so I took it apart degreased everything and put it all back together, so fingers crossed :)

I went for a run and when I came back the boot had not moved so it looks promising.

Not sure why it started slipping and as Hugh said I don't understand why its the original air duct end where nothing has changed.

I may have to go for some snoot boots
