Hi folks, my first post, and I'm looking for some advice! :)

Have a 2007 mini cooper, which up until now i've had no problems.

Over the past couple of months the warning light for the exhaust emissions has been coming on and off, and has now been into the dealer 3 times, but still not fixed.

They have replaced the rocker cover gasket, flushed out the pipes (the engine oil was very thick and gunky) and changed the solenoid valve for the vanos system. Can anyone tell me where this valve is situated in the engine?? Is it the valve which is situated at the front top left hand side of the cylinder head with a two wire multi plug on it?

Any help would be great, before I fall out with the dealer (there customer service leaves a lot to be desired!!!)
