Can anyone help me find the JCM brake vent kit?

also looking for help obtaining the racing ABS system...this is a race car here in the US and we are not able to obtain these parts.

I tried dropping the Mini Motorsports Center a couple of emails but have not heard anything back.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Do you mean the brake duct kit? The kit that feeds cold air over the JCW or JCW motorsports brakes?

Not sure who else but the guys who prep the JCW challenge cars could get this for you. Can a BMW main dealer not get it if you had a part number? Someone must know the part number either here or in the US as there are folks running this duct.

I have never heard of the race ABS system, but again the team who do the prep on many of the JCW challenge cars are your best bet.

I dropped a couple email to MM center and TF....but have not heard anything.

We run 3 hour endurance races in the Koni challenge

The team has been really working hard over the last year to help the cars along.

lool up RSR motorsports....i would post the link but....

They hae greatly reduced intake temps though the intercooler....last year it was about 180 F and now its about 140F.

We are now trying so things with the ECU and mapping...just aquired a factory GT1 unit...but thats another story.

I have read where the Mini Challenge cars have a racing ABS system vs. the standard ABS.

I know the M sport ABS unit in the M3 is absolutley unreal.

We are having an odd brake issue where after a really hard run into a corner under full ABS...the brake pedal gets super hard...but it doesnt stop.
The team has been monitoring the vaccum and everthing checks out ok....its like the something freaks out when we drag a wheel in the air.
We are only allowed certain upgrades for our class....but....are running the JCW upgraded calipers...but def need better cooling.
Does anyone have a picture of the ducting and vent kit?

Getting Challenge parts here in the US is a nightmare......
We finally had to really pull some strings to obtain a GP ECU...like I said....thats another story,
I am just one of the teams drivers....trying to help find some parts and some answers.
We are on our owm over here.

It is always best to Call Tony Franks you will get to talk directly to him about all of your issues. Tony effectively runs the MINI challenge series in teh UK and also prepares many of the cars.

as I and others have said CALL him not email

I will try to dig up some pictures of the Brake duct kit and fitting if you send me a PM with your email ad then I will send you some by Friday night. I have this kit fitted to both GPs and it is a good upgrade.

Just noticed that alot of the 05-06 MINI Challenge cars are up for sale (MINI Challenge per Google) might be able to acquire their spare JCW brake kits with race ABS sensor setup. Also, Waylen Motor Werks an NAM vendor has brake cooling ducts in CF kinda pricey but direct fit and carbon fiber. He had some other JCM parts but think he sold out but does have brake ducts he makes them now.

Also, dBa made 2 piece rotors but not yet for JCW (or R56) waiting for fresh batch from StopTech (1 piece though) Ask Keano or Snowie in regards to JCM rotor replacements cause I don't think they run oem rotors in Challenge cars either.
I do have the John Cooper Motorsport catolog, for R53, but hard copy only, but I'm in Philly.

Might get them real cheap too since they moved to AP Racing Brake kit after 06 season :D
