To all those new MCSC owners out there.... I'm having a bit of trouble finding insurance companies with the Cooper S convertible listed - who did you use or who would you recommend??? Thanks!

I used First Alternative. It's not on their comp but if you phone up they will call the underwriter. They were over £300 less than the next best quote. £517 with protected no claims, parked in private car park overnight, Glasgow city centre. That was including Chili Pack too.

I went to ESure and paid £380 (with full NCB) for my MCS (NOT the Convertable) I checked and they cover anything that is supplied with the car from the factory including the Chilli pack

Tesco insurance quoted me £410 for my MCSC.

For 30 days.

for 30 days??!!! ha ha ha.

It looks like it's a matter of calling the insurance companies by the looks of things. I'm so used to just doing everything on the internet I was trying to avoid it!

Mini quoted me £716.10 online but I think I'll give them all a call.

Thanks for all your help everyone!
