Mileage display not showing

Hi, I've just purchased a 2001 mini cooper, the mileage doesn't seem to be displaying under the speedometer but is lit up.. Does anyone know what the solution/fix is? The car passed it MOT 4 weeks ago, so I'm presuming it was displaying then 🤔🤔
