I'm considering buying a used 2003 Cooper CVT from a private seller. The two that are on the market are similar in style and options. However, one has 31000 miles and priced at $17900 while the other one has 21000 miles at $18700. I like the color of the 31000 mile car, but beyond that I don't have a strong preference. My question is twofold, first, is are there any known problems with this model or anything I should look for when I'm test driving it? Next, is the $800 price break worth giving up 10k of mileage? I plan to use the car as a daily driver, but my commute to work is very short so I'm not expecting the miles to pile up.
