Hi All, I recently gave my son my old Mini Cooper 2004 for his first car, however since passing it over to him we have noticed from time to time the steering will go very stiff to turn, If I turn the power on and off it will then be fine ?!

Anyone had this issue before or have a solution to fix

Hi Thanks for that - I've had a quick look online new pumps seem to be quite costly - any idea the best place to get one from - if you have experience along those lines thanks Chris

a few have had BBA reman do the repairs to theirs, I've fitted a couple for people that they organised, they don't come back the cleanest imo but seem to work alright, £180 iirc, think they might send one and refund deposit when old returned
