Hi All.

I have recently purchased a mini cooper s super charged.

I was on the motorway and needed to brake somewhat sharp, I noticed the car really struggled to snap on a instant brake.

I have checked the car and noticed it has a drilled after market discs on and the GREENSTUFF pads. and it seems its .... CRAP.

I am wanting to get some decent brakes but unsure on which road to go down as unsure on what is recommended I am not looking to spend silly amounts just a good set of discs and pads.

Any suggestions

GREENSTUFF pads.
Ah, Greenstuff pads, the worst pads in the world, ever.

Get some Mintex 1144, or Ferodo DS2500.
Forget fancy drilled or grooved discs.

The pads aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for (just like your current Greenstuff).

Drilling and/or grooving is just styling, so losing that is no hardship.

I have Mintex M1144 and they are great old-school fast road pads - they are pretty dead around town but are stupendous when mashing the brake pedal at 90. If you mostly drive urban/suburban, go for OEM pads as they provide good braking at lower speeds and avoid the occasional "ommagad, there's no brakes!" moments at 10mph on cold brakes with M1144s.
