Mini Cooper S R53 Fuel Guage Problem! Please help!

Hi All,

Im wondering if anyone can help.

I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S R53 model, and have a problem with the fuel Guage. It appears that when I fill it up with petrol the Guage moves correctly to the full position, but it isn’t going down as petrol is being used.

Has anyone any ideas as to how I can fix this? The vehicle only has 80000 miles on it and haven’t had any issues previously, but obviously is knocking on now a bit despite the low mileage.

Any help would really be appreciated.
