Hi All

I own a Mini R56 1.6 Cooper and its developed a Misfire in Cylinder 1. I have completed a compression test and that was all okay, swapped spark plugs, coil packs and fuel injectors but yet the engine still misfires and does not move from cylinder 1, I've come to the end of all my knowledge and experience with trying to solve this issue and I am still baffled as to what may be causing this issue. If anyone knows any possible way that this can be fixed I would very much appreciate all the help I can get as I would like to fix instead of having to scrap it.

Thank you all and look forward to any replies! If there are any questions please don't hesitate to ask and I will reply ASAP

Thank you

Will

A very knowledgeable guy who used to post on here stated many times that on a mini the cylinders are counted from the gearbox end.

Hi Ubss

The rocker gasket was a thought of mine as I did see oil in the spark plug wells, so I cleaned out the oil, replaced the rocker cover gasket entirely, resealed and put it all back together but still, the problem was there. However now that you have mentioned the fuse box may have water in it that has made think this could be the same issue with mine and I am now certainly going to look into next time I'm with the mini, thank you for the suggestion I will investigate and let you know how it goes.
