Mini Value??

From your other thread I thought you were going to tune it not sell it.

I understand that the dealer offered you £2400 as a part exchange but you were expecting up to £5000.

Your realistic price is going to be somewhere around / under £3500

Have you looked on Autotrader for siimilar cars to see what they are being ofefred at?

Look around, there's an FAQ on "what's my MINI worth", basically have to see what others are asking, and decide where in that ball park you want to be.

Let's face it, in the current market, not much. On the plus side, it's got leather interior. On the negative side, it's old (8 years!) and it is nearing that 100,000 mile death nell for second hand car values and the ability to buy a warranty for it, and it's probably got the old gearbox and a small collection of faults by now, and it's not a highly tunable Cooper S.

If I were in the market for an old Cooper of this age, I'd pay no more than £2,500 for it ... sorry.

If you've been bid £2,400 by a dealer, my advice is to either a) take it, or b) send it to auction where you may get a few quid more.
