Okay. Some of this vinyl I still had left over (for the rear) I've brought it to use. What ya think? Rip off or keep?

I quite like as is, but if it looks ridiculous just say. My mind changes like the weather anyway.

Could very easily be the case here today, gone tomorrow.

I still have a little more of the vinyl left, was thinking of doing something similar to this next pic obviously going up the way.

I think I have to make the gaps larger and the strips narrower with each step to achieve a fade effect. Calculating the widths for each gap and each stripe will require mental arithmetic's and then there's cutting them true straight which might be a challenge in itself. I'll give this some thought.

Got the front splitters, OEM part, cost me £122 off eBay (cheapest I could find). My local garage fitted them for me £45, thought that was very reasonable.

Rather satisfied with the 'look' they offer to the front of the MINI.

Blacked out rear side window today, failed at this last week as it isn't an easy job for any amateur like myself and requires lots of patience. Practice makes perfect though. Took me hours on and off.
Will get round to doing the other side and then the rear window at some point.
For this type of work the professionals are asking £100 for 2 side and rear, I paid £6.95 for a 3M x 50CM roll, this is the very dark Limo 5% tint. Visibility from inside the car is fine.

Other side done, this is a very difficult job for me, not quite perfect but close to it.

I had a go at the rear window (not something I was looking forward to btw) and really messed up, ruined what I had left of the tint so will need buy another roll, no big deal as it's very cheap (quality is tops). I know now where I went wrong and will try again and again until I've nailed it.

This is the fault with the side window, I thought of taking it off but the rest is okay. I've ordered some vinyl window stickers (matt black) to cover this. If the stickers look wrong then I'll redo the tint, no problem.

Got this raised scoop from a Chinese seller on eBay £48. There are bandits out there asking £120+ for the thing

Ordered 12th Sept, expected delivery was 15th Nov, arrived yesterday, nice one.

Delivered today JCW Pro all weather mats (rear). These were wrongly advertised as R56...

Product Azure Font Screenshot Line

I've always wanted a set of these but found them to be a tad pricey, the auction was listed at £20 with a 'best offer' option, no bids were placed as yet so I cheekily offered the seller £25 for them but as expected it was declined. On the day hours before the auction was due to end and still without any bids I upped my offer to £30, again the seller declined. I waited until the last seconds to place what turned out to be the only bid and won it!
I half expected the seller not to send them to me (this type of thing has happened a few times to me) but they honoured it and now they are mine. :)

I really needed all-weather mats for the front, preferably the JCW Pro ones to match the rears above, just can't seem to get them at all (plenty LHD available online). The standard and the JCW MINI F56 rubber mats are not really to my liking but I do like the 'Speedwell Blue' mats, so I spotted a brand new set of fronts on eBay at a very good price and just had to buy them.

Might seem a bit odd having two different style mats in the car but my plan is to wait until one or the other becomes available at a bargain price then swap the other out. At least for now I have proper floor mats for the Scottish winter.

I'd say they are of similar quality to BMW OEM.

A couple of weeks back I had contacted my nearest dealer by email for a quote for these lights fitted, they phoned me the next day, nice bloke on the other end. £850.00 fitted - OUCH! So I ask him how much for non-fitting - £500+ (didn't catch the exact amount as I thanked him before saying bye-bye mate and hanging up).

Cost for these babies (Free P&P).

Rectangle Font Screenshot Parallel Number

I bought them direct from the company as they were cheaper than their prices for same on eBay and Etsy, I found a code on Google and received a £10.50 discount as well.

I only want these for cosmetic reasons, I don't intend to have them wired up (did likewise with my R56) as the LED's on the car are already excellent for night driving anyway, I'll attempt to fit them myself, though there is a bit more to it with the Gen3 - requires some drilling and apparently the grille might have plastic welding on some of the clips which I hear can be a bit of a struggle to remove. If I do struggle with the job I can always drop the car off to my local mechanic.

I reckon it will be quite a while before I actually get round to doing this as the weather up here ain't ideal at this time of the year. Merry Xmas.
