YES!!!! I took delivery last evening. I cannot describe the feeling, I was shaking and had tears in my eyes, unbelievable feeling.
My fiance, Dan, who owns the Jag in the photos was really envious I got to drive the Mini from the dealer to home. And I can say it's absolutely fabulous!
Quite a difference from my ex-Peugeot 206, the handling is great, the only complaint is the stiff ride, but I can get used to it, hopefully. The 16" alloys and the runflats are responsible for that...
What more can I say, already did 100 km last night, driving around, you can see it's already dirty, I love the chrome line interior, and I like the Chrono.
Some other things I love: the interior lights, this orange colour is great, it sets apart the car, the entire dash and gauges are so unique and nice.
I love it. I hope I will be able to tell more about Richard, now I am too nervous and happy. Take a look at my gallery, I think our cars look really nice together. They speak English together, in Bucharest, hahaa. It's true the Mini has a slight German accent and the Jaguar a slight American one, because of their mother-companies, but they get along fine for now. I wait questions!
And...one more thing: thank you for this site, it was really helpful during the whole process: the thought, the spec, the waiting and now the owning! You're great! Simona

What a lovely review; I really enjoyed reading it!

I love the idea of these two cars speaking English to each other! AND you have even gone to the trouble of getting a proper "leaper" fitted to the front of the Jag - a nice touch.

The slightly firm ride will be down to those run flat tyres - I suggest that you try and get rid of them as soon as you can!

I do hope that you enjoy your MINI as much as we do ours.

Does your MINI get a good reaction from people in Rumania?

Tigger.

PS: You have made a wonderful colour choice! The only thing that is missing is the white bonnet stripes! Are you going to get some?

Thank you for your nice comments! Well, to be honest when I take the Jag out for a ride people seem to break their necks. The Mini gets a good reaction from youngsters mostly. Today while coming to work there were two young people in the back of a taxi and they were like small children looking back to the Mini, heehee. They were really excited! And I could notice that at night, when all the little orange lights go on on the dashboard, people look to the Mini, when I am at the red light. All the other drivers look at the Mini.
I love it to death, now. Even went out and bought a new set of wheels (5 star) and winter tires. They are normal tires but the ride is still stiff.
Yeah, we also love the Jag, I think they do a nice couple together, with the Mini being the teenager and the Jag the good mother.
There are Minis in Romania, most of them CR/W but I can live with it....I saw a lovely LY today, we waved and flashed.
I will get the Union Jack on the roof, I don't know whether to go for the stripes or not...I will ask Santa to bring the flag :)
Thak you, can't wait to finish job today to go motor!!!
