Do I need to accept that stupid message everytime I turn on my car, or will it eventually goaway, longest I've waited is 5 minutes then got annoyed with it.

How can you tell what version DVD you have? I put in my friends place that was built about 8 months ago, and they don't have it listed.

I have nav, but in the UK we have no warning. Go to the 'set' menu (IIRC) and your firmware revision is indicated at the top right of the screen. If you mean the nav disc, then it's version is printed on the disc itself (ie 2004-2 etc...).

warning is a US thing

probably to avoid lawsuits.........

if you figure out how to hack it and turn it off, please let me know!

there was a thread somewhere a few weeks ago about upgrading the firmware...

If we US kids run a UK upgrade, will that kill anything?
I need to dig it up, but i remember the most recent firmware had a clock on the bottom part of the navi rather than the temperature.

...just thinking out loud.

thanks!

Flashed mine to the latest firmware revision a couple of weeks ago and it made no difference to the temperature display. Still shows temp and not clock, but that's the way I like it, so it's good. :)
