Need help finding rental for Feb 26th!

Hey all,

We are flying over the pond for the Charityball and would like to arrive in style in a MINI of some sort. I am finding it difficult to locate a place that may rent them, any help would be much appretiated. Also I am looking for a place that would rent tuxes as I don't think taking one from here would be very economical.

Ric,

I dont know where you are going to be arriving or staying but you should contact the BMW dealers in the area and ask about their Mini Rental scheme. Round about June last year BMW/Mini started doing BMW rental and Mini Rental, basically offering car hire of most models in the range.

My local dealer has loads, 120d sport, 318i, 330ci, 530d, x5, 735 and on the mini front: one, cooper, cooper S, and cooper convertable. I know its about £60 per day for the Cooper S.

We'll be arriving probably in Luton (from Glasgow) on Feb. 23 and touring London area for a couple days. I've planned that Feb. 25 we'd go to Oxford to see the MINI plant. So, we're probably going to need to pick up a MINI on the Friday and return it Sunday (as we'll be leaving back for Glasgow that day).

Thackerays in Northampton offer suit hire and a reasonable rate - website is here http://www.thackerays.co.uk/index.htm Probably best to ring them and pre-book as they can get very busy.

Wollastons, MINI Dealer in Northampton do MINI hire, I will be talking with then to see if they can offer a deal , nad willpost details once I know for sure.
