I have a November 2003 Cooper S bought from new as a present for my wife.
17 years later, and following the divorce, I've kept the car and intend re-juvenating it as a track car.
Unfortunately it's been rather unloved for the past few years, so first and foremost it requires a major amount of tlc

As requested, here it is now...
Doesn't look too bad in the photo (though you cant see the cobwebs on the wing mirrors)
The exterior (and interior) will benefit from a good clean/detail...
Mechanically, the power steering pulley has been squealing for a while now and there has been a persistant oil leak for a long time (which I'm hoping is just the crank position sensor O ring). There is also a worrying grinding from the front offside (as yet uninvestigated)...
The nearside front inner drive shaft joint constant velocity boot was an advisory on the last MoT, not yet addressed so is probably now a fail. The MoT is due end of November so I've got a couple of months to sort things out...
