I have a 2011 Countryman with 120k miles (R60 motor). I have owned it for 5+ years and taken good care of it. Was having some misfires and took it to my mechanic who said it has a cracked piston. Is it worth spending the $$ to swap out the motor on a 2011? I love this car but think it might have run its last lap.

i've stuck a piston is a fair few of the n14 engines with piston damaged many of them also had a bent conrod caused by injector failure in many cases ,, just a heads up to be sure not just repairing the outcome and not the cause ie what made it fail, the n14 turbo engines always done the two pistons gearbox end of engine ,, if swap the engine good to find a low miles complete with all the wiring and other stuff fit new clutch and gives the best outcome with them miles
