Hi, just thought I would pass on my thoughts about my new MINI One D. Took delivery on March 1st, no problems so far, have Electric Blue with white roof and mirror caps, pepper pack, air con. 17 S-spokes and Boost CD. Car goes really well, pulls up hills great, does not feel like a 1400! Looking forward to pushing a bit harder when run in. Going to use as a driving school car when I pass my part 3. Anybody else out there taken delivery of a new D?

Nice car! I was looking at your personal gallery and I noticed that your car has the 2004 front bumper but the 2005 grille. Didn't MINI Ones get the new front bumper???

all mini one D's have old style bumpers
I took delivery of my new 'D' on 4th July 2003.

23000 miles later, I'm still loving every minute of it.

me too 45000 miles later
Good choice of car for driving school but do youself a favour and ditch the 17" and go back to 15" steels or you will regret it.
Just awaiting del of my second D EB for later this month or April.
Best wishes for part 3.
Have to say I agree with Lurcher1, you may well be better off with the steels in the early stages of your new career. I thought about alloys when I got my driving school D but went for hub caps as easily scuffed by pupils no matter hard you try. I got a spare set of Mini hubs given to me which I keep for shows & runs. Now I have more experience of the job I feel more confident about going for allows on my next D in November. Are you going for a trainee licence?
Ordered a D last week

Hi there - very jealous of you guys who got deliveries last week. I ordered a D last week (BRG, Pepper Pack, 15" 7-Hole Alloys, Elec Pan Glass Roof, Sports Seats and Cordoba Beige Leather, Single CD) - dealer reckons delivery July - does this sound right to you? If I decided to spend a tad more any ideas what on?

a heated front screen is a must,as a diesel takes so long to warm up.you need to clear the ice of quickly, you will need one ;) now the wait is on :D good luck
Thanks

Thanks for that - as I'm in Kent I hadnt really thought about it as normally we see 2 snowflakes a year - however since I was snowed in at work on Wednesday you could be right! ;) What about extra toys?

You've got all the right bits - with the exception of AirCon - that is a must !
Suspension

What about the sports suspension - does it make a big difference on the D? :green:

Nice one roverthingycom. Glad you approve of the derv. Just wait when you have 15k on it and it will come alive! I would swap the alloys if your going to do instructing. Just put them back on at weekend for posing moments!!!
Have you got any pictures to show us, can wait for my EB to arrive, early April!
Si
How much more does it come alive at 15k?!

Its hard to decribe, but it seems more willing to rev up, and the torque between 2000 and 3500rpm seems much more adequate!
Do you want to buy a yellow one with 18k on it to see what it is like?
