Hi! I have just bought a 2013 mini cooper S and was wondering if anyone could help me.

I have steering wheel controls but can only increase and decrease the volume, I cannot skip songs though aux. I cannot seem to connect through USB as it only charges my phone. I bought an adaptor that plugs into both USB and Aux so that I can connect my phone via Bluetooth, I am still unable to skip songs.

Has anyone had a fix for this?

Sorry if this question has been posted before, I cannot seem to find a solution that I've not already tried.

I think the skip function is only for radio

AUX won't provide any form of control over the track skip, it's just not that kind of interface... even on a bluetooth link it won't work UNLESS.... you have an aftermarket stereo that does BT direct to the device and an adapter to hook the steering controls in.

Thank you, it's a shame really considering it's set up for bluetooth calls, seems like an easy addition for mini but is what it is. I appreciate the advice
