Can you roll back if you want to? I have a late 2005 MCS with Sat Nav and to be honest I don't think it looks that much different to what I had on my 2003 MCS. Apart from a few additional roads. Strangly enough the bypass by JCG in Worthing comes to mind!

I like the way icons/placenames fade into the foreground and background

BMW need to keep packing in features like this before or at the same time as rival companies do otherwise people will opt for the external navs that have more options.

Im still waiting for postcode entry - this is possible just cant understand why they havent got this function available???

Come on BMW sort it out

To make the TMC work, you need a DVD with TMC codes. The communication with the radio happens automatically - you just have to listen to a CD or Classic FM.

Little question, do I need extract the v26.09 beta?

Or simply burn it as it comes? Doesn't seem to clarify this point on X5.

I've extracted it to a seperate folder, but see 2 ".mdf" fiels and a readme file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

U need to download a program called Alcohol 120% (crazy name yes) :D

I will find the link i used

Once that is downloaded you need to click "image burning wizard" - you then browse the v26.09 beta folder and it will show one ".mdf" file

Then just click ok and it should download

Just make sure u have a blank CDR/CDRW in the drive ready to copy to

EDIT

here's the link

http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/download_120.php

just download the trial version :)

that should sort it

I assume you have to have v26 first before you can patch the beta version?

Am I correct in assuming that you can tell if you got v26 if you have the chequered flag at the destination?

Also if I put v26 on will that screw up my TMC or is it just the patch that does that?

How can you tell what version of software you currently have installed?

Mines a Sept 2005 MCS but appears to still have the older version, does that sound right?

:puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled:

If you don't know if your unit is CD-based or DVD-based, go into the Setup (or Set) section of your nav display (off of the main menu screen) and look at the number shown in the upper right-hand corner. If your number is 3-1/xx then you have an older CD-based unit. If your number is 4-1/xx then you have a DVD-based unit.
