Hi there im new to owning a mini and i recently bought a 02 cooper s , any tips or tricks i need to know about ? Also i was told if i unlock the car with the key blade and dont put the key in the iginiton in 2 mins the alarm will go off is this true and if so is it because i havent used the fob ?another thing is the speakers make a pop bang sound when the iginiton is on why is this ? Any help is helpfull regards ryan

Is that ment to happen i ment and is it due to the key fob not being used ?
Does your car have an alarm? I think you have to lock with the key and twist twice to set and only once to unlock. If you live in a highly populated area and a high rate of car thieves, not using the fob is good. They cannot pick up the radio transmission from the key as they can in the fob.
