Newbie saying Hi.

52yr old , currently working but due to retire Jan 2020. Looking to blow some of my lump sum on an R55 Clubman JCW.
Current driver is 02 Audi A2 FSI , served me well for 9 yrs but definitely due a change, plus BMW R1150RT bike.
In the family we have an 04 One D, been in the family since 06, originally wifes car, now passed to our daughter.

So looking at the R55, going on looks I want a JCW, is it worth me sticking to my guns to find a low mileage car or should I consider a Cooper S at a lower price.

Anyone had both and could share their verdict?

Welcome to MINI2.

For me I would always pick JCW over S.

Depends if you still like exhaust noises as the standard exhaust on the JCW sounds better than S and also zipper. Also some JCW internal engine parts are stronger than S.

Other option would be to spend the extra money on buying a better spec S.
