Hi all,
I have a r56 with the n18 engine. Can anyone tell me if this engine has the noise maker coming of the intercooler pipe (coldside)? I know there was one on the n14, but have heard conflicting advice about the n18. Any help appreciated.

Take a look.

Yes it has both sections; built into the hot side of the intake pipes, and attached to the radiator core support. Also diverting from the vertical pipe leading into the intake manifold, attached to a 90 degree elbow.
Unless the previous owner removed them.
