Oil light on constantly Mini Cooper 2007

Hi, I just bought a 2007 Mini Cooper and the oil light is on all the time I click the button to turn it off and it just pops back on 1 second later. The last owner said it had been checked and no oil leak found, they also said the oil had been over filled at one point and they replaced the sensor because of this but there was still oil around so that's why the light comes on but I don't believe this.
Also they timing chain is making a noise and it was replaced in 2019.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

need to do a oil pressure test on it with a tool that measures it, should be around 30psi to 60psi link below for tool
and will need the below adapter for mini head,

I'm sorry...u bought an 07 with the oil light constant????...GOOD THINKING..almost as good as mine..my 07 bought w/85,000 KM has cost me close to 30....thousand ...let me repeat that 30 THOUSAND in repairs....additionally it should be any moment now when the whole thing locks up...due to an OIL PRESSURE ISSUE!! ..run, bail, put on your "thinkin cap"..whatever it takes....there's bad advice, good advice...and then there's the BEST advice....you just got it.....best wishes

dont understand only times I have bought a car with oil light on was when I replaced the engine rather than deal with the endless damage,, now thats the best bit of advice for anyone, knowing when to throw something away and start again is another good cherry
