I've been looking for a mini since xmas & finally found 'the one'. She's a beautiful grey 04 cooper S. I took it for a lengthy test drive, having a real play about & then the deal was done. I left the showroom with the biggest grin on my face. Within 30mins my bubble was burst. . . turned a corner & bang the power steering failed!! My arm's still in pain!! Whats all that about? Is it a common fault? Luckily the cars still under warranty so the dealer is repairing it for me but is it going to happen again nxt week?

One would hope that a car that is being repaired will not do it again. This does not seem to be common but you are in a place to bargain a lot more. ;)

Whoops, clearly I skimmed right over the "04" part and though it was 2nd Gen.

2nd part of my statement still holds true. ;)
