Painting Interior Parts

Hi,

I was recently looking at all the carbon fibre inserts that Mike offers on NewMiniStuff.com.

Although i would love to buy all carbon fibre replacements they are quite expensive and thus would probably run into a £500+ bill.

Has anyone painted the various inserts in black, such as the rev counter, speedometer, air vent rings, MFSW inserts? I know you can buy chrome replacements but I never see a simple black plastic style.

I think someone on here did paint their MFSW inserts in black but unsure what they used.

I have heard people talk about Plasti Dip but unsure if it would be suitable for interior parts.

Plasti Dip - Flexible air dried coating, Brush Dip and Spray from £5

Can you spray this on the speaker inserts?? :puzzled: Would probably cover the fine holes and let less sound through. Doh!

If anyone knows of anything i could use would be interested to hear,

Thanks.

I've not done it myself, but found this website the other day.

Yes...i've seen this website. Looks good but i would imagine it's not cheap, although they are having a sale on at the moment.
There is this thread. Streeters used Plasti Dip on his interior. Not sure if this is what you are looking for?

I recently sprayed my spots and side repeater surrounds with Plastidip, and I'm well chuffed with the outcome! Next on my list is the interior speedo rings etc! I'm tempted to Plastidip the dash panels too...
