OT but someone might be able to help.
A friend has a Fiat 500 on a PCP which expires the end of April. She was going to roll it over on another new car and had verbally agreed a deal but obviously all the garages are now shut. She has tried all the contact numbers and emails but nobody is answering. What can she do

email them and register post to them explaining what her plans are etc, then she has a legal paper trail should be ok with it.
Thanks for the reply. Presumably she should keep on with the monthly payment even though they officially finish at the end of April?

I wouldn’t as that loan is paid, however I’d keep the money to one side.
Thank again. What should she do about the car as she lives in an isolated rural area and needs one for shopping.

complicated one really, she should of had a letter 28 days end of agreement pointing here in to what the options are, as for keep paying the money on it like k3fus says the agreement has ended unless in small print there is a roll over clause that says at end of pcp it just keeps on until you go and order a new one as such as pcp is just a lease rental car at end of day but on a contract, if were me i would keep the payments going is in future a good credit record is important as it will show up as a non payment if not, dont think anything will be sorted until this lockdown has been sorted etc, at least would be on the right side of everything as if in the agreement it states you only have to pay to end of it then can get that money back at later date under regulated agreement laws,,
Thanks for the replies, hopefully sorted, Fiat has emailed her at last and the details are being forwarded to the refinance dept.
the abarth is good fun to drive for a small car, but the new mini cooper s is very fast and has a new car is so much better as its got the latest 2.0 petrol bmw engine in it,, dont know what they will be like after 5 years and 70k yet as to new, but she should go try one before deciding
