Howarth of Staffs is the dealer that apparently doesn't know about the left pull fix
The dealer that my car is booked in at for the left pull wasn't even bothered about driving/looking at the car. They just said basically that if i'd complained about it I obviously have it and they booked it in,simple as thatApial said:
BMW are fixing cars when a complaint is received. There will be no recall letter to you. If you are dissatisfied with the steering then it is upto you to complain about it.
At one stage it was necessary for the car to be KDS checked first to see if rectification to the geometry would cure the fault. With so many complaints some dealers appear to be skipping that and just booking the car in for new front suspension. A drive of your car will confirm to any dealer if you need the fix doing.
I was thinking of doing this but...I thought I shall wait until the fix is on my car. I don't wanna jinx anything, plus that way I can take him outside and say "hay you know those parts that don't exist well there on my car!!!"Silver and Black said:Skinny,
Did you go back to the dealer that told you there wasn't a fix and tell them what the other dealer said?
I bet you felt like telling them to **** off.
Good luck, hope your car gets sorted quickly
Glad to hear you are pleased with it Nick, told you it was worth it Hope Broad Oak have shaped up toonickheatheruk said:Just had the left pull fix carried out on my SS Plus equipped car. It has transformed the handling, with improved sharpness to turn in. Not only does the car now track straight and true, the suspension also seems more pliant over sharp ridges / mid corner bumps, without losing any of the excellent flat stable body control when cornering or braking. The car also appears more drivable, with less need to correct the steering over variable road angles / surfaces. If you haven't got the Mk3 fix, get it done. It really is worth it - the changes make a great car even better.
