Mini Cooper Clubman D 2008., R55
The drivers door power window does not retract fully at opening- only 5 mm approx. If I use some force to manually press down, it goes lower and stops on normal position (full retract).

As result, window does not closes properly when doors is shutted.

May be somebody knows remedy? Window regulator replacement?

How much is it supposed to retract?

Now it retracts about 1/3 in comparison with pasenger window. Pasenger window drops down for about 10-12 mm and works normally.

Yes, it goes fully into upper rubber gasket, but sometimes missed it, because retraction distance not full. In these cases the upper edge of window bypass the seal and misalign against fitting when close door.

After detailed ivestigation I found that the gap between gasket and window edge is not equal in both sides- adjustment is needed. Now I'm concerned about this, because original OEM window regulator has special screws to adjust height in both sides. Unfortunately the aftermarket regulator is installed and have no idea about possibility to equalize the window level. Lets see later...
