Hi Everyone.. i just bought a car from a dealership in Sydney.. the car runs great.. its a 2009 mini cooper r56 d turbo... the last two days it has had problems starting in the morning...it cranks over but dosnt start until a number of attempts..thers no warrantywith the car which is suss..after it starts it runs great and when im at the lights with the clutch out it stops and starts fine...anyone else have this problem and if so what was it?.. the service light comes on but goes out when running .. thanks

Poor starting diesels are often due to glow plug issues. Those engines commonly have faults with the glow plug controller which doesn't necessarily turn the.engine check light on. Worth getting the fault codes read.
