Hi all,

Park Lane with heated screen option which isn't working. Both 50A fuse in engine bay and 5A fuse in footwell are fine and relay is switching. I also get voltage at the connectors behind the A pillars.

So, it seems to be the actual screen. Strange that both sides have failed though.

Screen looks to be a replacement as no Mini sign on it.

Is this a common failure? Anything I might have missed?

Probably burned out from either being used too much, or just being a cheap knock-off.

What brand is the glass?

Ha, so after playing with the connectors and plugging them in again, one half of the screen is heating up patchily... about 2/3rds of the area is now demisting.

So, maybe simply a dodgy screen...

What normally happens is that the connectors corrode from being constant;y soaked in water.
Chop them off and connect with a heavy duty choccy block and tape up to protect from rain.
