Is it possible to get hold of a genuine JCW pulley to replace the standard MCS pulley? If so does anyone know the part number and if it is possible to order this from a genuine mini dealer as an individual part? I have attempted to get JCW parts from my local dealer but they say that I need to give them a JCW kit number to order parts and I don't have one of those as my car is a MCS.

I have looked into the Alta Version 2 pulley in 15,17 and 19% reduction but have always prefered to buy genuine parts.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.

In essence no.... The pulleys from MINI are put on using heat and a press. So, you would have to buy the entire supercharger and do a swap. Lots of labor and lots of money.

Not sure what you have against performance parts that are not MINI but that route is going to cost you a pretty penny as MINI charges a small fortune for those parts and they don't work any better than the ones like Alta.

Hey Nick! I used to have a 17% Mini-Mania one fitted on my R53. One time the belt snapped and I had my good friend Tony Franks @ MiniChallenge in Shoreham by Sea East Sussex fit a replacemnt belt and he said it was better for the engine to revert back to a 15% JCW one, to prolong engine life.

You can get hold of the JCW pulleys on several sites, just google. Fitting one is straight forward to any MINI specialist! And not a great expense. Just dont forget to get the belt with the pulley.

I'm not against none genuine parts but would prefer Mini Parts so that when I sell the car I can say that the car is kind of genuine!!!

Thanks for the info. I am going to contact Lohen to get a quote for the Alta 15% reduced pulley.

You will only get the JCW pulley fitted on a supercharger. Expect to pay about £600 + from BMW

Thanks for your help, do you know where I might source one from? I have searched google and end up finding nothing after an hour of trawling!!!

I have managed to source a JCW supercharger pulley (part no. 315058 XL) and JCW belt. Does anyone know where I could fine a reliable place to have it fitted please? GTT have offered to fit it for me including spark plug change and I have also found that Jonspeed will do the job. I live in Hertfordshire so would like to find a place nearby.
