Hi all. Some plastic part has broken inside my rear view mirror and now it droops so I have to adjust it every minute. Super annoying. The OEM part is $413, the dealership wants $770. I can find em used on ebay for $229 but since I've not been able to get the garage door beeper functions ("integrated universal remote control") working, it would be great if I could instead buy a non-fancy one for $25 instead. The guy at the garage reckoned I'd have to get a fancy one else the computer would notice the lack of connection back from the mirror and things would probably not work.
Can anyone corroborate this? Thanks!
