R56 SD intercooler

Did you ever find an answer? Im considering the same upgrade on my SD

Hi mate, I did get the parts having Scorpion confirm their manifold would fit (it didn't, totally different set up) and air ram for an intercooler (there's space for one, but someone would need to change the hose fittings feeding into the engine.

In a nut shell it's not just a straightforward replacement.

I just stuck a big cone K&N on removed the air box lid permanently and got a map. Went from 143 to 191

Yeah ive got the direct fit K&N cone filter installed. Ive only seen one company advertise the intercooler and pipes for the R56 SD. I can try and find them again on my bookmarks if you fancy a look

That would be great thanks, I had a jap sport inter after emailing a few companies, but returned it.

Bit pricey for me currently but one day maybe

Hi there
I’ve got a Mini Cooper d and was wondering if the down pipe from the turbo is the same as mine as I’m after decating the car and doing a 3” exhaust. Is your turbo at the front of the engine or the back?
